Bijou Publications is a boutique publishing house built on integrity, creative independence, and disciplined execution. We publish selectively. Our model is not volume-based. We curate a limited roster of authors each year to ensure focused editorial attention, strategic positioning, and a publishing experience rooted in professionalism. Publishing with Bijou is a partnership that is structured, refined, and collaborative. If your work reflects intention and originality, we invite you to review the guidelines below.

GUIDELINES

We currently consider completed works of fiction, romance, urban-fiction, poetry, and select non-fiction. We are drawn to writers who understand that craft is developed, not improvised. We do not accept unfinished manuscripts, partial drafts, or works generated or assisted by Artificial Intelligence.

To be considered, please submit the following:

The first 3 chapters of your completed manuscript (Word document, double-spaced, Times New Roman font, 12-point)

1 page synopsis

Author biography

Statement confirming the work is original and not AI-assisted

Statement confirming the work is not currently under contract elsewhere

Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.

All submissions undergo a structured editorial screening process with an initial review period of 4-6 weeks. Due to volume, individualized feedback is not guaranteed for declined submissions. If you do not receive communication within 4-6 weeks, you may consider you submission closed. Bijou reserves the right to request additional materials before making a final decision.
