Jasmine Henderson is the founder and guiding voice behind Bijou Publications, a boutique publishing house and literary consulting agency dedicated to creative independence and elevating original voices. As a writer, she began her career in 2015 with the release of My Brother’s Keeper, a gripping urban-crime series that quickly cultivated a devoted following. Encouraged by the reception of her debut, she went on to publish Jezebel, a romance novel set during the Harlem Renaissance, originally penned during her teenage years and inspired by the Sade ballad of the same name. Jezebel became the first official release under Bijou after its founding in 2019.

In addition to her work as an author, Henderson curates Bijou with an unwavering commitment to artistic integrity, providing guidance and mentorship to writers who wish to navigate the literary world with knowledge and ownership. Currently, she is penning her fourth novel, The Yearning of Distant Hearts, while continuing to grow Bijou Publications into a home for independent creatives and timeless storytelling.
